Malek Sammour

1st Season with Seraphic Fire
Fullerton, CA

Southern California-based baritone Malek Sammour performs actively as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the U.S. Recent solo appearances include J.S Bach’s BWV 132 with John Harbison’s Songfest Chamber Ensemble, Vaughn Williams’ Five Mystical Songs with the Conejo Choral Music Society, and Mozart’s C Major Mass with Zoe Choir. Stage credits include Il Conte Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro), Marquis de la Force (Dialogues des Carmélites), and Dr. Pangloss (Candide). 

As an ensemble musician, Malek has recently appeared with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Florida Grand Opera Chorus, The Who, and the Kronos Quartet. Malek currently teaches a private voice studio at Mater Dei High School. 

Malek holds a degree in Vocal Performance (B.M) from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at Cal State University Long Beach and is currently earning a M.M in Vocal Performance from Cal State Fullerton. Malek also hosts a music journalism network called Lute in the Loot.
