To Be Considered for Seraphic Fire

Singers interested in performing with Seraphic Fire should possess ample solo and ensemble experience, excellent musicianship skills, familiarity with Baroque and Renaissance vocal styles, and a desire to sing at the highest level of vocal ensemble performance.

Seraphic Fire contracts singers on a per-program basis, and these differ from season to season. Seraphic Fire provides singers a professional fee based on services, round-trip domestic airfare, in-town housing and transportation, and a per diem.

Interested singers should submit the following:

  • A current resume or curriculum vitae
  • Two references including phone numbers and e-mail addresses
  • Audio recordings including two solo vocal works in contrasting styles and languages, one of which should be a Baroque aria

Note: Submitted materials should be labeled with the musician’s name and voice part. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received.

Employment

Box Office/Arts Administration Associate

Reports to: Director of Advancement
Classification: Part-time, Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Start date: February 1, 2023
Salary: $15-18/hour, commensurate with experience 20-30 hours per week

Position Summary

Seraphic Fire, South Florida’s twice GRAMMY®-nominated professional vocal ensemble, is seeking a meticulous and customer-centric individual interested in customer service and logistics for one of Miami’s top performing arts institutions. The Box Office Associate is responsible for phone and mail sales of tickets with patrons as well as donor stewardship and annual appeal processes as part of the integrated marketing and fund development plans and strategies of Seraphic Fire, a not-for-profit cultural arts organization based in Miami, Florida, with an annual operating budget of $2.1 million.

Box Office Responsibilities

  • Manage ticketing services to include executing and fulfilling single and subscription orders received by phone, mail, and email. Execute ticket exchanges for patrons and the fulfillment of subscriber benefits throughout the season.
  • Prepare performance-day ticketing assets to include Will Call and Comp Lists.
  • Assist with annual subscription campaign, execute telephone marketing campaigns with staff and volunteers.
  • Enters and executes ticket and subscription orders received by phone, mail, and email.
  • Processes ticket exchanges for patrons.
  • Assists with the fulfillment of subscriber benefits.
  • Answers and responds to patron inquiries (phone and email) regarding ticket orders and other general box office inquiries.                                                                  

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with marketing functions including email design, mailings, and special projects as assigned.
  • Assist Operations Manager in day of event logistics
  • At Seraphic Fire concerts, manage the Will Call, Box Office, and Merchandise table.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer-facing role, experience in the arts preferred.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills,
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organized and able to independently manage workload
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Ability to travel locally and work for extended days and weekends during concert season and for planned events.

This position is based in Seraphic Fire’s Miami office.

Concert Production Associate

Reports to: Finance and Operations Manager
Classification: Part-time/Hourly, Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Start date: November 3, 2022
Contract Duration: November 2022 – April 2023
Work Locations: Miami, Coral Gables, Miami Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Naples
Salary: $20/hour, 10-30 hours per week, Non-Consecutive Weeks

Position Summary

Seraphic Fire, South Florida’s twice GRAMMY®-nominated professional vocal ensemble, is seeking reliable self-motivated individuals interested in concert production and logistics for one of Miami’s top performing arts institutions. The Concert Production Associate is responsible for advancement operations, load-in, execution, and load-out of concert events for Seraphic Fire, a not-for-profit cultural arts organization based in Miami, Florida, with an annual operating budget of $2.1 million.

Concert Production Responsibilities

  • Execute advancement operations for all concert and special events. Advancement includes transportation of Seraphic Fire equipment, stage setup and teardown, and other duties as assigned. (Vehicle provided for all concert transportation needs.)
  • Coordinate with venues and vendors to ensure all deliverables are received and executed within the schedule set by the Finance and Operations Manager.
  • Maintain and protect Seraphic Fire equipment, instruments, and assets while on-site.                                                 

Additional Responsibilities

  • At concerts, assist with Will Call, Box Office, and Merchandise table as requested
  • Assist with returning of rental equipment and instruments at the end of concert run

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance
  • Exemplary verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organized and able to independently manage workload
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment

Schedules

A typical work schedule is from 4pm-10pm (12:30pm-6:30pm on Sundays), but schedules may vary depending on the logistics and needs of each concert week. Availability for all dates not required.
