
Michael O’Gieblyn enriches the musical landscape of South Florida as a talented violinist, violist, communicator, and digital content creator. Serving as principal violist for the Miami City Ballet Orchestra and The Symphonia of Boca Raton, Michael has also led the section of the Atlantic Classical Orchestra and has performed with the NuDecco Ensemble, Florida Grand Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Palm Beach Symphony, and Naples Philharmonic.
Before moving to Florida, he was a member of the Memphis and Huntsville (AL) Symphony Orchestras and performed with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra and the Louisville Orchestra. Michael attended Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied with Cyrus Forough, and also received a Masters of Music degree in Violin Performance from Belmont University as a student of Elisabeth Small. Michael is an instrument specialist for Fiddlershop.com and has a passion for creating online resources for string players, including the audition resource, OrchestraExcerpts.com, and the PerServicePodcast.
