Hannah Penzner, a native of Los Angeles, California, now located in NYC, recently received her masters in vocal performance from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. Most recently Hannah was in Charleston, South Carolina at the Spoleto Festival performing in the chorus for Haydn’s Creation and a curated choral concert with Joe Miller. While at Frost she portrayed Mrs Fiorentino in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene and premiered the role of Mamah Borthwick in Stained Glass by Shawn Crouch, as well as performing the famous Dulcissime solo in Carmina Burana, conducted by Amanda Quist. Hannah was engaged as a soloist for Mendelssohn’s Elijah with the Arizona Philharmonic and is looking forward to returning to Carmina Burana to sing the Dulcissime again with Princeton Pro Musica in the spring. Regularly, Hannah can be heard with the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian choir in New York City.
