Gabriela Linares

Puerto Rican mezzo-soprano Gabriela Linares completed her undergraduate degree at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in voice and ethnomusicology and her master's degree in voice at the San Francisco Conservatory. Her instructors include Rhoslyn Jones, Jonathan Beyer, and Marlene Rosen. Linares is a winner of the Oregon District (2023) and award recipient of the North West Region of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition. At the Oberlin Conservatory, she performed in Trouble in Tahiti (Dinah), Dialogues des Carmélites (Mère Marie), and Così fan tutte (Dorabella). At the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Linares performed in Giulio Cesare (Cornelia) and The Consul (Mother) productions. She performed in the production of Gianni Schicchi (Zita) with the Chautauqua Opera Company and Conservatory. Linares was a 2023 Gerdine Young Artist at the Opera Theater of St. Louis, where she stepped in their production of Susannah (Mrs. Ott). She will perform in Opera Parallel’s premier of Birds & Balls (Rosie Casals).
