Gabriela Estephanie Solís

Mezzo-soprano Gabriela Estephanie Solís has been hailed for her "rich tone" and “moving expressiveness” (San Francisco Classical Voice). Highlights of her solo performances include concerts celebrating Latin American and Spanish-language repertoire with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and Minnesota Orchestra in collaboration with Border CrosSing. She also recently performed selections from Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder with the Berkeley Community Chorus and Orchestra and was the soloist for the US premiere of a chamber orchestra version of Holst’s The Cloud Messenger with Chora Nova. Other notable solo performances include Bach’s Mass in B Minor, BWV 232 (American Bach Soloists Festival and Academy), Handel’s Messiah (Choralis), Copland’s In the Beginning (University of Notre Dame), and Brahms’s The Alto Rhapsody, Op. 53 (Grace & St.Peter’s, Baltimore). As an ensemble artist, Gabriela has collaborated with groups such as Lorelei Ensemble, Seraphic Fire, and the American Bach Soloists Choir. She was a finalist in the 2022 Handel Aria Competition and won first place in the 2018 Bethlehem Bach Aria Competition.
