Recognized for his deep musicality, strong technique, and colorful playing, young Canadian violinist Dominique Bégin is a gifted and multifaceted artist, currently a third-year Fellow at the New World Symphony. His vast experience has allowed him to share the stage with some of the most recognized artists in the world, such as Michael Tilson Thomas, Stéphane Denève, Yo-Yo Ma, Augustin Hadelich, Yefim Bronfman, Christian Tetzlaff, and the Cleveland Orchestra.
Over the years, Dominique trained with renowned musicians and pedagogues such as Mauricio Fuks, Augustin Hadelich, Vadim Gluzman, Michael Frischenschlager, Yair Kless, Alexander Kerr, and the Emerson, Miró, and Aizuri string quartets. He was selected as an active participant in the 2019 Violin Masterclasses of the prestigious Kronberg Academy and the 2017 Mozarteum Summer Academy.
Dominique plays on a 1975 Sergio Peresson violin as well as a 1973 Stelio Rossi viola graciously loaned by Canimex Inc.
