Celebrated for his “brilliant” and “booming” bass-baritone, Devon Russo performs frequently as a soloist and ensemble member. Onstage he has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Trinity Repertory Company, Odyssey Opera, & the BU Opera Institute. In concert, he has performed with Sante Fe Desert Chorale, Ensemble Altera, Chorus of Westerly, & the Rhode Island Civic Chorale. Devon has taken part in the Sommerakademie am Mozarteum, BEMF Young Artist Program, the Voces8 Choral Scholars, Orford Musique, Seraphic Fire PCI, Tafelmusik, & Source Song. Devon is a Choral Fellow at Marsh Chapel. Devon is Director of Choral Activities at Bryant University, Artist-Teacher in Classical Voice at the University of Rhode Island, and Assistant Conductor for the Handel & Haydn Society Youth Chorus. Devon earned his DMA in Vocal Performance at Boston University, his Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music & Bachelor of Music in vocal performance and music education from the University of Rhode Island.
