Blake Beckemeyer is a tenor known for his expressive storytelling and historically informed performances. He has appeared as the Evangelist in Bach’s St. John Passion with Quartz and the Arizona Philharmonic, as well as with the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra and the Lafayette Master Chorale. A frequent collaborator with early music ensembles, Blake has performed with the Bloomington Bach Cantata Project and Washington Bach Consort, among others.
His work extends to chamber music, including appearances with Apollo’s Fire and Alchymy Viols. Blake’s recordings include a Rocky Mountain Emmy-winning video of Jake Runestad’s Earth Symphony and multiple Opus Klassik nominations for Vox Orchester’s Alexander’s Feast. He was a Virginia Best Adams Fellow at the Carmel Bach Festival, where he worked with Grete Peterson and Michael Beattie. Based in Indianapolis, Blake balances his musical career with work as a software consultant specializing in low-code platforms and data analytics.
